Estuvimos con el mexicano Bufi que ahora se ha mudado a Paris para continuar creciendo en la escena.Platicamos sobre muchas cosas que están sucediendo en su vida, particularmente sobre su música, los tacos en Paris y lo horrible que sería tocar en Tomorrowland. Les dejamos su nuevo EP el cual esta salidito del horno.

Desde chavo toco guitarra y piano, y al mismo tiempo siempre fui súper geek de las compus y el hardware, así que cuando empecé a ir a raves, cuando tenía 16, fue lo más natural empezar a hacer loops con un freeware que logré bajar con mi conexión de 56kbs. Después conseguí el Reason 2.0 completo, no sé cómo, y le empecé a dar más en serio.

¿Cuál crees que haya sido el factor primordial?
El internet y la enorme plataforma para la música que éste implica. Sin él las cosas serían muy distintas, probablemente.
3:Hoy en día los mejores live act del momento quieren ir a tocar a la Ciudad de México.
Que hay ahí que no haya en otras partes de Centro o Sudamerica?
Hay mucho público, hay excelentes lugares para tocar, y hay promotores dispuestos a pagar lo que sea. ¡No veo porque alguien no querría tocar en México! (sin embargo los hay algunos, pesaditos).
4:Sabemos que llevas un rato viviendo en Paris . Que fue lo que te hizo venirte a la ciudad de la luz?
Ya era tiempo de cambiar de aires, y por acá tenía ya amigos como David Shaw , con quién he estado trabajando en varias cosas padres. ¡Por cierto, pronto verán la luz!
5:Qué tal te trata la ciudad y como esta el tema "French Touch" musicalmente hablando.
Bien. Mucha gente se queja del parisino por ser muy cerrado y seco en su trato con los extranjeros, pero supongo que al hablar francés el trato es distinto, por lo que he tenido suerte.
6:Acabas de sacar tu nuevo EP el cual denominaste "Piezas instrumentales hechas para gente que le gusta comer pastillas y bailar en cuartos oscuros" ¿De que va este rollo?
Llevo años metiéndole al Pop y a la música vocal, y supongo que ya me cansé de esa onda. Ahora busco hacer música mas repetitiva y espontánea. Menos ambiciosa, más directa.

1:How does Bufi starts in the dance floor?
Since i was a kid i play guitar and piano.I was the typical geek of hardware and software , so when i started to go to raves it was when i was 16. It became really natural to experiment with loops with a random freeware. After that, i got the full Reason 2.0 , dont ask me how but that was pretty much the beginning of everything.
2:Tons of eyes are in the Electronic Mexican Scene, why do you think its that?
Internet and the huge platform for music that this implies. Without it, will be quite different probably.
3:The best live acts wants to go and play in Mexico City, why? Whats there that not in other countries in Central or South America?
There is a lot of people, excellent venues for playing and promoters willing to pay whatever. I dont see why you wouldn't!
4:We know you have been living in Paris for a while, Whats the reason that makes you come the city of light?
It was about time, had some friends here like David Shaw which i've been working with. Soon you will see what im talking about...
Good, tons of people complain about Parisiens but i guess when you speak french the things change and i been lucky.
6:Bufi just release his new EP and you call it "Instrumental tracks for people who like to eat pills and dance in dark rooms" Whats this thing about?
Been doing Pop and vocal music for so long, i guess i got tired of that. So now im looking for something different, less ambitious and more direct
